he's a kind, intelligent, careful man. I think he would make a stunning president and we are sorely in need of him now.

I thought that whole “doing sports and being part of the team will turn your life around, troubled young man” thing was like candy for the traditional masculinity upholders on the right? like, I could swear that team sports are the step before “scared straight” programs on their list of ways to correct undesirable behaviour in the youth

I'm waiting for FOX to demonize washing your hands.

They WASH THEIR HANDS! Unthinkable! Communist! Hand washing will permanently change your gender!

James's avatar

I wonder how many of FOX News's viewers have children in a similar situation? They could see that as a personal attack by FOX.

They're really down to seeds and stems over there at Fox Propaganda.

Tim Walz is the "Anti-Trump" A nice guy to the same degree Trump is a horrid, despicable man.

DemoCat's avatar

But Trump correctly advised Don Joonyer and Eric “don’t bother” when it came to sports. So little Don became a drunk in college, and Eric became whatever he is.

Tina Mouse's avatar

Walz had a girlfriend.

He helped a student.

His was repelled almost out of his skin by being too near Vance.

So those are his "scandals".

FFS.

Well, TBF he said that thing about guns and war zones when he was trying to fight school shootings, sooooo....

I get the impression that if Epstein had talked Trump have been in a lot of trouble. Gaetz type trouble.

RRJKR's avatar

Doubtful. Trump has already admitted to and been convicted of some pretty horrible shit, and he's still running for POTUS with a 50/50 chance of winning.

The G-7 Experience's avatar

Epstein could have lent credibility to the TFG 14 yo model rape accusations....

counterlife's avatar

So did Epstein die by "suicide" in prison when AG Bill Barr was still pretending to like Trump and needed to cover for Trump and maybe himself or his father Barr? It would be a crime not to vigorously speculate. And did the rapist creep Epstein learn, just like the creep Roy Cohn, that Trump was even more despicable and incapable of respecting or caring about his fellow child rapists and thieves than even they could imagine. No one gets anything from Trump, because he has nothing but shit to give. You disgusting and thankfully dead dumbasses.

CambridgeKnitter's avatar

Let us know when Gaetz sees any actual accountability-type trouble.

DemoCat's avatar

Won’t happen. He and his party buddy, that former state treasurer or comptroller or whatever he was, both did the same shit. They held parties with underage girls and paid teenage girls to travel and sleep with them, paying them with Venmo money with cryptic references to “school” and other words such as. One of them is in prison, the other a Republican congressman. But committees are “investigating” Gaetz, you betcha.

I have my calendar marked for the twelfth of Never. Same day Trump goes to jail.

"a kid on his football team who was struggling with alcohol and crime, Walz tried to help him by pushing him to focus on sports instead."

You see this a lot in discussion threads about electric cars that run out of electricity and a record high stock market that only helps people who own stocks.

Apparently, a solution that doesn't fix 100% of all the world's problems for eternity is worthless, and should be ridiculed, and then discarded.

The GOP and Fox are beyond desperation. Nothing they think of as scandalous has any effect on Walz or Harris. They either ignore it or mock the rumormongers. Scaramucci just picked Harris/Walz. There are names popping up on their endorsement list I thought would eat worms before they backed a Democrat. I'm surprised Trump's hair hasn't caught fire from the degree of hate burning in that lizard brain of his.

Pexas Teat's avatar

I sincerely doubt that the Republican defections are limited to people who make public endorsements. There could be millions of right wing voters disgusted by Trump who are either sitting this one out or voting for Harris/Walz. I doubt they'll vote for many down-ballot Democrats but there will be some effect, I predict.

eddi-SABH's avatar

I'm quite sure you are right. The high profile defections in essence give the uncertain permission to follow their head or heart rather than their party. This is why endorsements during campaigns are so vital.

Mary O'Shegetz's avatar

I hear at one time Walz was actively participating in a DIY home plumbing forum!

Tim Walz just gapped the sparkplug on my lawnmower....

Tim Walz better not wear a tan suit, or they’ll really melt down.

The tragic suicide of his Chinese girlfriend, a geisha named Madame Butterfly, is proof Walsh is unfit to be veep. Meanwhile, the Garbageman’s Union endorses Trump for his salute to the smelly profession: “Tell the broads the money don’t stink!” said Herkimer Baldwin, lovable dad and union president; in tonight’s episode the red(neck) meets the black (and woke) new boyfriend of left wing daughter Meggary; it’s all happening tonight at 9PM Central time on IT FELL OFF A TRUCK. I wish these blogs would do one more article about Governor Walz and that’s it.

Call it The Last Walz.

Fox wants to do "Walz Came Tumbling Down."

Or maybe "China Paid for Walz."

Squeaky clean Walz! What a horrible role model!

NY Times.

Fox is like watching another universe. Today there was a chyron I passed by saying

“Republican Women are furious with Marc Cuban!”

I’m online a decent amount and even I don’t know wtf they are talking about.

Dina's avatar

Isn't it because Cuban said the Rich Folk like him should be paying their fair share of taxes? Seems I saw him talking once about how they could all have a tax rate of about 60 percent and it wouldn't affect the way they live at all, and the US government would be rolling in dough. And yeah, also because he thinks trump is scum.

tim gueguen's avatar

Cuban has lots of money, but isn't doing his God ordained part to support Trump, like all rich people are supposed to do.

Trux Mint In Box's avatar

I mean besides the fact that they now realize Republican women just might be voting Democrat this time.
