Yeah, it's definitely been (and will continue to be) some rough processing. In his pre-nursing days, Alex used to deliver for our small pizza franchise (two stores). He worked at the other store, but a few of the people I work with cover both stores and have been reminiscing about the guy. A true class act and a wonderful human being. Watching the Drumpfosphere call him a "domestic terrorist" makes me want to become an ACTUAL one.
I watched an interview this morning with the doctor that initially hired him for the research position, and she talked about how he delivered pizza to make ends meet, because he loved his job so much and wanted to keep doing the research work. She talked about how he juggled his hours so that he could take evening classes. She talked about how kind he was and how much people liked him.
