there are black fundies Starting with that horse's ass, Tavis Smiley, whose principal purpose in life is to give cover to racists nationwide.

Just as I heard it. Slaves built a new nation. So how much are they do in reparations? (Don't even ask about the First Americans--there isn't that much money in America for what they lost!)

FWIW, I live in NYC and have never heard that usage. As far as I know it just means nitwit in Italo-American slang--so, Eggplant libel aside, Wonkette has used the term correctly: Pres. Wagner is dumber than a nitwit.

(The Italian word, melanzana, sounds like it derives from the Greek melas, black, like melanin, but apparently that's not the case.)

Ah, that explains it then. Wagner was citing the white version of American history, which he really should have waited to do until March 1.

Very good point. And so Pres. Wagner is really just using a slightly clumsy analogy to argue for the immense benefits of gerrymandering--a position we can all support, after all.

It feels good to know that post-Apocalypse, fashion designers will still have a steady income.

Dicks? Oh, wait, that was last post.

To me, that excerpt is far better than the ordinary nonpology. "Please forgive me" doesn't mean "please stop doing that". It means "I was wrong. Please give me another chance".

Edits: (1). The guy's original choice of analogy was really stupid. (2) Another thing about asking forgiveness is that there is no requirement to grant it.

I think the we should find out who is smarter, President Wagner or a bag of hammers. First question, President Wagner, does the constitution define the USA as a Christian Nation? President Wagner: “Without a doubt!” Bag of hammers: “ - “ I rest my case.

Or, at least, a very good one...

His parents sure had a sense of humor!

"Gouverneur?" Was he named after a Muppet?

Dude spent his whole adult life telling people how to spell his front name - and spelling was pretty casual back then.

Somebody wasn't paying attention during their Hillsdale College "course" on the US Constitution!

Could it be a case of a disobedient civil?

Harley-Davidson had that problem, as well.
