Putin also gets elected Premier every time or President. It's really hard for me to believe we made a profit or expected to, from our invasions of those two countries. REALLY HARD.

I was having problems discerning what your point was.It wasn't so much a track as a rut.

What is your opinion of Russia having invaded two sovereign nations in the same time frame?Or of Russia's actions in Chenchnya?

Daniel's avatar

"there remains the inescapable fact that the US and NATO are the only nations in the 21st century invading and destroying other nations"

Russia invaded Georgia in 2008.Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014.

And it's interesting how you completely ignore people pointing out Russia has invaded other countries in the same time period, including Ukraine.

Imagine politicizing old men's swimsuit areas! But if it can happen, it's bound to happen to a bunch of generals on the eve of a good old- fashioned invasion: Here we come, endangered countrymen!

I'd like to understand why the obnoxious troll from the russian factory hasn't been banhammered yet. Quite apart from the propaganda, he definitely fails at the "try not to be monstrous" rule.

Does he bring hidden value to Wonkette?

The thing is, Russia is such a mess that noone is really interested in invading it. Not even for old times' sake. Neighbours of Russia just wish it would start taking proper care of its own people and territory before trying to add to it.

Those interested in what? A straight-up government propaganda source? That's really all you've got? Hard pass.

"The US and NATO attempt to portray Russia as the villain of this story for bolstering troops along its western borders in response."

Also because of how Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014.

I bet half of Americans asked about that were very surprised to learn that Russians almost took over Atlanta?

Entertainment value.

Did you see how emotional he got when I talked about how Americans would gleefully unite to kick Russia's ass?
