Yeah the memorial for my brother is currently scheduled for mid-January in LA. And I think I'll be the same, 4 planes/2 airports - tho presumably shorter flights.

Good KN95 masks. I changed mine at each layover. Hand sanitizer. Good handwashing etc etc. YOu will be OK.

THAT'S the problem! The alcohol kills the virus.

I got a text from my sister in law in Illinois this morning to tell me pretty much everyone on that side of the family is testing positive for covid at this point. I think (?) most of them have been vaccinated (despite most of them being Midwest Trumpers) so that’s good anyway.

Releasing patents wouldn't do much, since there are only a few companies in the world capable of producing the product.

It's the longest night of the year in this hemisphere. If anyone wants to buy me a present, s/he can get me more replacement filters for my Castle Grade mask. I have plenty on hand, for now.

I travel about an hour in each direction between the East Village and South Bronx. I could not do it without the N-95 rated (N-99 tested) medical grade silicon mask with 4-ply replacement filters. It's called Castle Grade, should anyone need one. Yes, it muffles my voice a little bit, and it will never be comfortable. But your glasses won't fog and you won't get COVID-19. And if you should have one of those breakthrough infections, you won't spread it.

Reminds me of the Ballad of Bermondsy Dave.
