That's wonderful to hear, and as a subscriber you'd have my full support to give cash to migrants in need.

If you all ever make it over to Amsterdam, let me know! Would love to take y'all on a canal cruise.

The ONE time we ever flew United we called it the "rickety third-world bus with chickens and goats mixed in with the human passengers of the air", not because there actually were goats and chicken and other livestock, but that was the entire vibe of the experience. and this was back in the 80's

I love Wonkette so much I tell all my Brit colleagues about it all the time. They’re always astonished I know so much about American politics and I sing your praises

thank you friend :)

Wait what, you weren’t flying private jet ? You know your ‘business’ could write it off from the fake profits and carry over the losses and then depreciate the difference and get a tax refund next year from it.

It’s right there on page 42,345 of the federal tax code for billionaire lawyers.

Ain’t modern technology and systems just wonderful?

So very sorry for that lovely travel experience you somehow endured.

I’ve done the ‘waiting in line at 2:00am’

for the shuttle to crappy hotel with no luggage for four hours until next flight out to wherever.

Now Rebecca, I know you wouldn't be in Bali. You'd go to Fyre Festival II, because who wouldn't want to be conned out of MOAR money?

PAUL's avatar

C'mon Wonks! Let's send her and the gang to Bali!

I'll pay for the first ten miles of the flights and the first ten minutes of lodging.

Rebecca Schoenkopf's avatar

LOL, that'll be $10,000 please! ;)

PAUL's avatar

What??!! You chartering Trump's jet?

BJW's avatar

Waiting for an article about it, as only Wonkette can do it justice! Whereas CNN mentioned the "embattled" con artist, which makes him sound like someone we need to take seriously, and not delusionally. ;)

Rebecca Schoenkopf's avatar

wait, that's a real thing?

BJW's avatar

It's amazing. Maybe a bunch of rich white crypto dudebros will buy in, as they can recognize another hopeful entrepreneur (ie, fellow con artist).

He didn’t last too long, what an alleged surprise

Love you loads! Also look at the news right now

Thank You! I will be there!

I love Wonkette. My cousin was always posting articles that resonated with me and my views so I decided to subscribe. I do not like monthly fees so just donated $100 and will continue to do so each year. So even if it looks like I'm enjoying all these wonderful articles for free, I believe in supporting all of you. Love all the writers!

Have loved Wonkette since I first ran into it in 2004-ish. Would love to have a "drinky thing" in the Houston area of the Republican hellscape of Texas. Me and the other Lib from Texas would come.

Rebecca Schoenkopf's avatar

we've had one in Dallas and one in Austin, but never in Houston. You're on!

Scott Harmon's avatar

FYI...I live in Galveston so please allow me to chaperone you, hubs and the Wonkette baby to a day at the beach when you come.

We love Wonkette too!

I love that you're on substack, I follow a lot of other favorite writers here too, so it's really nice having all of you together!

Thank you for helping the migrant family. I wonder what happened to them. I’m crying thinking about it. Why are we so fucking cruel to people trying to make their way in the world. Why can’t we see each other as people and remember we’re all just trying to get thru the fucking day and provide for the people we love. How is anyone else any different. Fucks sake. I hate everyone. But I love my Wonkette. I’ll keep supporting this mommy blog as long as I can and maybe we’ll all find ourselves after the apocalypse together.

RogationDays's avatar

Trix, I wish you’d reach out to those of us who support Wonkette if you see a situation like that again. I would totally send $ to help out that family. I’m still working and I don’t have children.

Kira Thomsen-Cheek's avatar

Me too I would totally chip in.

Rebecca Schoenkopf's avatar

it's exactly what I should have done.

PAUL's avatar

Please count on Holly and me next time.

IF there is one, because I think you should've bought the tickets AND given them some Soros bucks for food and never even mentioned it. We trust and love you, so we send $$ to you to do with as you see fit.

Rebecca Schoenkopf's avatar

I really really wish I had. I should have known all y'all would have had my back. Goddammit.

I’m sending dollars on an irregular basis, but I love Wonkette and will keep supporting the gang. I wanted to drive down from southeastern BC for the Missoula meetup, but wouldn’t have been able to get back for my shift on Sunday. Oh well, next time, somewhere.

This is something/someones that feels good to support. I like waking up to smart and funny and thoughtful writing.
