Flake can get the 2+ Rusty Garden Weasel of Votes. He happily ignored the vast chorus of people who have spent decades shouting that the Republican dogwhistling was emboldening the worst elements of society, that the attacks on liberals as "unamerican" were making compromise impossible and democracy untenable. Not only did Flake ignore these factors, he happily embraced them to further his own political ends. The fact that these forces have reached their inevitable conclusion in Trump's election, and have turned on him is his own damn fault, and until he owns the process that caused these things to be and his own and his party's culpability in nurturing them to their current strength, he gets no credit for his words.

Let's see what happens with Roy Moore and Doug Jones in AL. A Jones upset could bode extremely well for 2018. Bannon's idea to back the fucking nutcases (Kelli Ward, I'm looking at you) may backfire with establishment Republicans and red state Independents and inadvertently put a bunch of Dems in office.
