Not only a primary challenge, but continuing to piss and moan after losing. Not my favorite memory of Ted.

With his abilities regarding bikes and Segways, would you trust him up a ladder?

Snark off. Anyone who claims to be a Christian should be held up to Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter for comparison. When they actually demonstrate they live their lives like the Carters, they can call themselves Christians. Sadly, very few self proclaimed Christians can.

Thanks for that. Thompson's piece has lodged in my mind since I first read it in RS, but I'd never bothered to try and find the speech. Of course it's online. It is indeed a king-hell bastard of a speech.

i completely disagree, my (secular blue state urban total libtard) experience is that fundies often ARE on the front lines. and are often the only ones on the front lines.

fundies are of course completely wrong (IMO) but they walk the walk.

liberals would be well advised to pay attention to that. it's how hizbullah, hamas, egyptian brotherhood, al qaeda and chicago alderman go about getting votes. pick up the trash and educate kids for 5 hours a day.

(and yes, the carters are rock stars).
