Twenty years ago I wed a man with student debt in the low 20K$s. Aside from his time in grad school, he kept paying. Thinking he must be close to done, I asked last year how much he still owed. The answer? THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. That was when I started forwarding him these articles. And nagging.
The government is now telling him to pay nothing while they figure out if he owes anything at all anymore. He teaches high school English. (I do...this.)
Keep spreading the good word! And vote like your life (or relationship) depends on it. Because it does.
