The same type of whiner complaining that Joe's not mentally up to the job seems to have forgotten that Ronald Reagan spent half his Presidency in a total fog. If he wasn't just asleep in meetings he was telling stories of his 'war-service' where he personally liberated Nazi concentration camps* with Sgt Rock, John Wayne and the Hellraiser Marines Brigade. Only, he didn't move a foot outside the US for the entire war.

*In November 1983, he told Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir during a White House visit that while serving in the U. S. Army film corps, his unit had shot footage of the Nazi concentration camps as they were liberated. He repeated the same tale to Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal and other witnesses.

I'm sorry, but no. He's in charge. You don't get to just be like, "Oh, the stuff the organization I run is doing is horrible to see! Someone should do something about that."

If he's not saying that DHS is a rogue organization and he's going to work to dismantle it and put the pieces back where they came from, then he can fuck right off.

Too simplistic. Organizations with tens of thousands of people can’t be just “dismantled…and put the pieces back together,” at least not without causing heaps of pain to those people and the hundreds of thousands of people who depend on them. That’s the philosophy of the Jan 6th insurrectionists: “Burn it to the ground and rebuild it from the ashes.” Acknowledging the problem, and taking positive action to solve it, is the way forward.

Don't dig back into history to try to justify today. That’s the technique of the snowflakes on the far right, such as saying “The KKK was originally founded by Democrats, so they shouldn’t say they aren’t racist today,” or “Harry Reid eliminated the 60% rule for federal judges, so it’s OK that McTurtle refused to consider Garland for the Supremes.”

Whether Reagan was senile or not is irrelevant. Look at today’s evil as independent of any dumb shit that happened decades ago.

In what context? Canada begins at our Northern border and Mexico to the South, I'm sure they mean something to them.

I feel like the Hubble constant is a misinterpretation of what is being observed, but then again I'm not down with the Big Bang.

Yeah, they've been on a "Biden's ratings tanking" jag all week. Good old "liberal media" at work.

I wonder if vp is one of those at higher risk jobs and thus encouraged to get a booster, since she's an ambassador of sorts, visiting all sorts all over the planet.

Why does no one suggest our border with Canada is too permeable? DH took a high school field trip to Quebec, ffs. Its not like Canadian forests are that much more difficult to traverse than Mexican deserts.
