I have made it my mission to correct any youth who complains that "nothing has changed" or whines that we have to "go through this" once every four years, that if you don't vote every year in every local/state/national election that comes your way, you are doing it wrong and have no good reason to bitch about things. The amount of people who barely vote every four years is frustrating, let alone getting out there and voting every time.

I entirely agree. I'm trying to spread the word about and promote all groups doing youth outreach. Until this election, over the past 5 to 10 years, I'd had a lot of hope in the younger generation, eg seeing activism in BLM, March For Our Lives, response to Dobbs, LGBTQ+ activism. Although, I am not seeing as much activism as I would expect on climate change/environmental issues, not sure if I'm just missing it.

Biden is going to drop out of the race. Possibly next week, after he hears from Democratic Senators, big money donors and his own staff. The ballot challenge issues are illusory, given that the candidate slate is never set until the convention. Until fairly recently states did not know who the parties’ candidates were until the convention. So state ballots can be changed. We need to get ready for Kamala and…(I like Buttigieg). Kamala will mop the floor with Trump in the next debate. focusing everyone’s attention on how old, unfit and doddering Trump is.

The Federalist website is, of course, subversively at work claiming that any course other than Amendment-25ing Biden right away is a betrayal of the Constitution. As if they give a goose's fart about the Constitution except when it suits them.

Margot Cleveland's latest article trumpets, " ... we know, and, most terrifyingly, America’s enemies know that our commander-in-chief is mentally incompetent."

They knew that the whole time Trump was squatting in the White House. They also knew - every tinpot dictator on the planet knew - they could play Trump like a violin just by flattering him a little.

He grovelled and crawled to Putin in Helsinki, disgracing himself and his country in public.

Cleveland goes on, "Whether caused by age, dementia, or Alzheimer’s matters not. The president of the United States cannot discharge his duties if he lacks lucidity for even a fraction of the day."

Unbelievable.

Except from a hack scribbler for the Federalist Society.

Reagan had actual Alzheimer's, if that wasn't an excuse to constantly say "I don't remember" about the Iran-Contra business. The Republican Party never even looked like Amendment-25ing him.

Donald Trump lacks lucidity for the entirety of every day. Has for a long time.

He could cut out paper dolls and crap on the Oval Office carpet, and the Republicans would never invoke the power to remove him from office. The old old story. IOKIYAR.

The point is not “would Biden be a better president than Trump?”. Of course he would be, I can show you doorknobs that would be better presidents than Trump. The point is “is Biden a strong and able candidate?”. He is not. The fact that Trump is a corrupt, ignorant fascist is no excuse to stick with Biden given his serious decline. There are far better Democratic candidates, starting with Kamala.

No, the point is, either Trump or Biden will be sworn in as president come January. There is no timeline where someone else can step in and take over the reigns at this point.

It’s Trump or Biden. Vote wisely.

Biden won’t last another week. In the next few days, Democratic Senators are going to ask him to step down, joining wealthy donors, foreign leaders and Democratic power brokers. Kamala will be our candidate.

Even when he's not at his best, Joe Biden is still in an entirely different stratosphere from Trump, both intellectually and morally. He's probably also still more competent (and definitely more experienced) than many of the non-Republicans now professing 'rational concern' about his abilities.

Joe Biden could die and his campaign could pull a full Weekend at Bernie’s and hold his corpse up until the election and he’d still be a better choice than Trump.

Literal fascism is at the gates.

Hold your nose if you have to, and vote against it.

Why in the hot holy fuck is the Trump/Epstein story NOT ALL OVER THE MAINSTREAM FUCKING MEDIA?!!! If it’s true, why hasn’t it been picked up by every single news organization?!

Because the corporate media is all in for Trump.

If there was a document revealing that Joe Biden was late in returning a movie to Blockbuster, the Mainstream Media would flood the airwaves with round-the-clock BREAKING NEWS coverage, complete with custom graphics and ominous music. “Can we trust someone who plays so fast and loose with the rules?!”

PAB is revealed to have been in cahoots with a career pedophile, and … crickets.

Hay you guyzes, remember when Hillary Clinton coughed once, and they couldn't shut up about how she was dying, probably?

This is more of the same, except hopefully we know better this time.

In the impossible to top words of King Beauregard: "Every word, every syllable, every phoneme uttered in complaint about the Democratic leadership is another missed opportunity to excoriate the Republicans, who I could have sworn were the actual problem here."

Stinky's cult followers are still beating the drum AFTER two impeachments, an attempted coup, a fraud conviction, a rape conviction, and 34 felonies, to the point where he's actually, unbelievably, a viable candidate. Maybe we need to be copying off their test paper.

From now on, whenever I see any criticism of President Biden, I'm coming back with a criticism of Trump.

"Biden is old."

"Trump is a convicted rapist."

"Biden is old."

"Trump stole money from children with cancer."

"Biden has dementia."

"Trump has dementia, and rapes children."

etc.

That some posters are STILL whining "Joe is old, he can't win" is starting to seriously piss me off. What the fuck is with Democrats and perpetual back seat drivers?

Look, the time for y'all to bring this shit up and fight fiercely for a different candidate was last year. That's what we have primaries for. Those votes have now all been cast and counted, and guess what? Joe won! But I guess we just throw all that democracy shit out the window like Republicans because a few perpetually terrified people are pissing their pants? Fucking grow a pair.

But Ward they say, we didn't know it would be this bad, and everybody would have yelled at us!

Sorry, but if you were too stupid or too cowardly to speak up when it mattered, why the hell should anyone listen to you now?

Biden is our candidate. Period. Y'all can either help him get reelected or help his enemies take him down, and then Trump will win. That's it, those are the choices. Quit being stupid.

Conservatives should be promoting presidential naps, the only healthy form of limited government. Meanwhile, in September and October we’ll be treated to Trump’s sentencing and probably the in court review of all the evidence in the January 6th indictment, when Jack Smith brings the goods to Judge Chutkan so she can decide which crimes with official duties and which weren’t. It’s like a trial in that it will put Trump’s election frauding back on the front pages.

I voted for Biden last time and have been happy with the results, he's been a good POTUS.

That said, fairly or not he can no longer win this time.

So it is precisely because everything is at stake that he now has to step down from the ticket (not from office).
