Joe Wilson Wants To Know Why Obama Cares More About Gassed Children In Syria Than Benghazi & IRS Atrocities

In a desperate bid to be remembered for something even stupider than yelling "You lie!" about a factual statement in a presidential address, Joe Wilson used his time at Wednesday's House hearings on whether to blow stuff up in Syria to ask, now wait one darn minute here, why are we even talking about this when the IRS gassed tea party groups' tax exemptions to death? What about the red line of Obamacare? Shouldn't we use cruise missiles on the sequester? All excellent questions!

 Think Progress attempts to make sense of Wilson's "thinking" as he asked John Kerry about things that he believes this Syria nonsense is "distracting" from:

Wilson led off referencing an April White House assessment that Syria had used chemical weapons against their civilians. From there, the South Carolinian legislator suggested that the administration is using the Syria issue now to distract from the supposed real scandals:

WILSON: With the president’s redline, why was there no call for military response in April? Was it delayed to divert attention today from the Benghazi, IRS, NSA scandals, the failure of Obamacare enforcement, the tragedy of the White House-drafted sequestration or the upcoming debt limit vote? Again, why was there no call for a military response four months ago when the president’s red line was crossed?

After winching his substantial lower jaw off the table, Kerry replied that the March incident was not on the same scale as last month's gas attack.

In another instance of Retro Derp, Sen. Saxby Chambliss offered this serious critique of Administration policy on Syria in an appearance on Fox & Friends:  

“Well, what it says to me is that the president gets lost when he doesn’t have a teleprompter in front of him, which he obviously didn’t last year,” Chambliss said.

It's almost as if we're approaching some kind of Derp Singularity, except that none of these guys will be able to upload their consciousness to the Internet because they all still have VCR's at home flashing "12: 00."
