John Bolton, John Kelly In White House Screaming Match, And We ALL WIN!
Except the immigrants.
John Bolton and John Kelly got into what was described by CNNas a "heated argument" over increased border crossings by families that developed into a "shouting match" in the West Wing today, although who was arguing for what isn't yet clear. Knowing those two, it may have been a simple disagreement over whether bringing back the family separation policy would be sufficient, or if it would be more effective to bomb and strafe the "caravan" of asylum seekers that has wingnuts freaking out this week.
Here's CNN's take on what today's edition of Thunderdome On the Potomac was about:
Trump, who was incensed about the rising levels of migrants and threatened to shut down the southern border on Twitter earlier that morning, took Bolton's side during the argument. Bolton favors a harder line approach to the issue and criticized Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen during the argument, a source said. Nielsen used to serve as Kelly's deputy when he ran DHS. Bolton reportedly said Nielsen needed to start doing her job, which incensed Kelly.
OK, so yeah, if it's Bolton wanting something harsher than the guy who gave us family separation in the first place, the A-10 Warthogs may already be en route to deliver depleted-uranium deterrents against the misdemeanor crime of crossing the border without authorization.
CNN's account of the contretemps by the contemptible missed one serious detail that Bloomberg's report caught: The shouting match was also "obscenity laced." Until CNN's story broke, speculation ran rampant as to the cause of the fight:
"You change his fucking diapers." "Fuck no, I did it last time. It's your turn." https: //t.co/TAXc0K3l9A

While there were rumors that the fuck-tussle might result in the resignation of one of the shouty yelly men, it appears both will keep their jobs, at least for the moment. CNN notes, ungrammatically, "The fact that the President sided with Bolton, which only added to Kelly's fury," which just shows you how heated things were.
Yr Wonkette wants to see the video. Someone HAD to get video. And in the midst of all this terrible uncivil behavior between two of America's top statesmen, we can only say, with Willy Wonka, "Stop. Don't. Come back." Help. Police. Murder.
And now it is your OPEN THREAD, you monsters.
