Jon Stewart is working his way through the Bill Maher playbook, change my mind. I was briefly pleased when he returned to the airwaves, but he blew his credibility pretty early on - with all the ::waves hands:: everything, I don't even remember how, now. But at this point, he's just another rich old white man whose opinions I don't waste time listening to.

He missed the point, again. Trump is not an incompetent dictator. He is a highly competent dismantler of America.

You seem to have really missed the point of Stewart’s humour. IRONY.

he's a pos, he's always been a pos. He thought that Trump rally comedian was real funny with the anti-Puerto Rico "jokes". He DID bring us John Oliver, but he also brought us Ed Helm, Rob Riggle and Steve Carell, all of which are crimes against humanity worthy of the Hauge

“I disagree with you but I’m pretty sure you’re not Hitler,” and “Things are pretty OK,” and “What do we want? Moderation!!! When do we want it? In a reasonable time frame.”

Is that supposed to be funny because those were almost the exact talking points upholding slavery?

Waiting for the walls of the Oval to just be covered in gold leaf. Such an ‘80s vibe

How long until he turns into Bill Maher?

Stephen Colbert has proven repeatedly that, unlike his former boss, he gets it. Stewart proves nothing more than that he is a creature of a vanished era...1958 maybe.

Fuck you, Stewart, can’t pass up an opportunity for heavy-handed irony and flip unwarranted assumptions.

I n fact, just before I started reading this particular exposé, I called my Congresswoman and both my Senators about a gross injustice I had just read about — of Guatemalan immigrant Juan Francisco Méndez having federal agents smash his car windows and drag him away without an arrest warrant. And you know what? I don’t know this person, and I live thousands of miles away from Massachusetts where he was kidnapped by our maladministration’s minions. But even so, I could not imagine not doing something immediately after reading that and seeing the video of it happening. And I did. Immediately. Really. Because yes, I do think about injustice all the time.

Maybe don’t be so desperate to be funny.

TPM has a pretty good thread going about the whole law firm business, bottom line it's just a bunch of unenforceable bs and the firms "caving" are just trying to get Dear Leader off their case, so to speak, knowing that any agreement is essentially worthless. What's really interesting is that the agreements seem to be making Dear Leader, personally, the party on the one side. If so, this amounts to actual bribery.

You don't have to be competent to be evil if nobody is willing to stop you.

Take a hike John. You have already shown your true colors.

I've always been a bit put off by Stewart even when he was the #1 darling of the left....

Me? I'm a John Oliver man myself...

Trump gets sued

A legal advocacy group, Liberty Justice Center, filed a lawsuit in the US Court of International Trade on behalf of five small US businesses to block President Trump’s sweeping tariffs on global trading partners, and stated that the president overstepped his authority.

Do they have standing to sue ? The SC says you only have standing if you have videographic and notarized evidence plus six white male witnesses of Trump personally giving you a wedgie, otherwise it obviously didn’t affect you ergo NO STANDING! SIT DOWN!

But litigating the President is only valid when it's against Democrats!
