I'm of the Laurence O'Donnell school of thought. The Secret Service works for the office, not the individual. The moment they swear in the new President on January 20, 2021, they will forcibly remove the former President from the Oval Office and the White House if he refuses to leave peaceably.

If he doesn't step down and does lose, he's toast, because you can't run a one-person coup. The military won't back him because he's shit on them every chance he got. Same with the intelligence community.

And he can forget all his friends in Congress. The only thing Republicans hate more than liberals is anyone who costs them power. George W. Bush wasn't even invited to the 2008, 2012, or 2016 Republican National Conventions.

You seem to be overly fond of the letter "J." Not that I'm opposed to the whole "J" thing - my friends call me "Jerry." But I'm guessing that Kirstjen Neilsen is not worthy of having a single "J" in her name - which, considering the whole border thing, is insulting to the rest of us "J Americans" - not to mention to the actual Jay and the Americans (think "This Magic Moment" and "Cara Mia", etc)

"Democrats are harassing the President to distract from their radical agenda of making America a socialist country, killing babies after they're born, and pushing a 'green new deal' that would destroy jobs and bankrupt America."

Is this really the official statement of the official spokesperson for the executive branch of the United States?

Because it sounds more like, you know, the unhinged rant of one of the less stable lunatics that write at Breitbart, like Nolte or Delingpole. In fact, it sounds more like the comments section: the articles themselves try to sound less batshit crazy.

And over on Gateway Pundit the people in Gateway Pundit comments section are still doing their usual thing, with this one summing it up nicely:"I read no-one has to co-operate dot dot dot they don't have the legal power to compel them dot dot I would just ignore."Probably they will just ignore, too. And receive a further communication which says, "We sent a request letter to be nice, but you weren't having any, so here's your subpoena, all neat and legal."After which the usual howler monkey chorus of "Stalinist tactics! Show trials! Gestapo fiends of the socialist left!" will surely be heard.Nadler's cue to "just ignore" in turn.

Duh, as soon as I posted above, I thought "oh, I forgot about "Come A Little Bit Closer". By the way, Jay, et al. did a little-known, but wonderful cover of "This Enchanted Evening" from South Pacific.
