Bright siding. I'd roll my eyes but they'd probably get bruised.

You know, I always felt it pretty arrogant of us to say we were destroying the planet. Short of blowing the entire thing up by shipping a bazillion nukes to the core or something, the planet will remain. The planet will be fine.

We won't even manage to kill off all the life, probably. Just us and other mammals and birds and fish and most the insects and lizards...ya know. What we ought to keep repeating is that we're trying to save the humans. Cause that is what we're up to now.

Took a comet with climate change to kill off dinosaurs. Took climate change and over hunting to kill off mega fauna

Only gonna take our own hubris forcing climate change to kill us off.

There is another consideration - a bit wonky but persuasive.

Even without 'harping' on Climate Change, you have the power of results on your side. Enhancing the vehicle fleet to reduce emission of all kinds creates economic value. If the technology is done right, the COST of the improvement is far less than the BENEFIT resulting. Not only is general health improved (fewer kids with asthma, fewer hospital visits, fewer cancers), but the companies that implement the improvements save money, have greater employee loyalty, and get public approval kudos and advertising benefits. The economic benefits will make no difference to Trump's EPA, because his administration will emasculate the Cost/Benefit formulas, but they will still resonate with businesses who want to work in a growing economy.

Water and carbon dioxide combine to form carbonic acid (H2CO3), a weak acid that breaks (or “dissociates”) into hydrogen ions (H+) and bicarbonate ions (HCO3-). Because of human-driven increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, there is more CO2 dissolving into the ocean.

Why is this important and why should anyone be concerned? Because it is rapidly (in geological time frame) lowering the pH of seawater In the past 200 years alone, ocean water has become 30 percent more acidic—faster than any known change in ocean chemistry in the last 50 million years. At first, some thought this might be a good thing because it was removing CO2 from the atmosphere, thus slowing global warming That was before the potentially disastrous, irreversible effect it will have on life in the oceans was considered.

Tiny shell forming organisms, which are at the very bottom of the food chain have evolved to exist in a very narrow pH range Seawater is now too acidic in many places for them to form their shells, and they are dying out. What happens when you kill the bottom of the food chain? You guessed it, EVERYTRHING dies of starvation!! Unless we can reverse the trend upward of atmospheric CO2 we could kill most all life in the oceans.

Overpopulation by this species of hairless ape, and their insistence upon constantly burning shit, is now rapidly killing the planet Earth. Before that happens Mother Nature will undoubtedly step in and greatly reduce their numbers or eradicate them completely

Like it or not, Trump and his billionaire bros are a reflection of our societal values We sadly have come to a place where the only measure of people is how much money they have. We have come to worship wealth and now treat the uber wealthy like gods.

Sick to death of hearing about Biden's "open borders". When I lived in El Paso in 1973, people went back and forth to Juarez all day long like there was no border at all. You were more likely to get stopped and searched by Ag inspectors crossing the AZ/CA border than by border agents at the USA/Mexico border.
