We are pressuring our lawmakers to "SCHEDULE A TOUR" every fucking week. There are 11 Democratic lawmakers in my state; they can schedule around one another to pop up at our hellscape ICE facility as often as humanly possible.

Day 1: Try to visit, and be turned away. Publicly - very fucking publicly - Attempt to make an appointment for every day for the next two weeks.
Day 2-7: Show up again.
Day 8: Show up and hold press conference after getting turned away again.
"Once again, the Trump Maladministration is lying and covering up their illegality. If they have done nothing wrong, they have nothing to hide".
Day 9: Show up with some sort of law enforcement (and I don't actually know who that might be) who has the ability and authority to enforce Congressional powers. Yeah, it might start a fight. This is a GOOD THING. Cause that gets clicks and media coverage.
JFC. If I'm an IT guy who has zero government experience and I can see a messaging plan that works, how the fuck are they SO bad at this?
"American communities become increasingly safe" doesn't cause "Criminal illegal Aliens get nabbed by ICE", nor is "Criminal illegal Aliens get nabbed by ICE" a logical response to "American communities become increasingly safe", this flow chart makes no sense.

These are cargo cult-ish memes, they don't understand why the cargo planes come to the air traffic control tower, but they're building an air traffic control tower anyway in hope the cargo planes come back. They don't understand why circular flowchart memes are effective, but they're making one anyway in hope the likes come back.
It's almost as if Trump was so short sighted during his campaign that he forgot fulfilling his promises would implicate himself and his fellow GOPers. "I'm going to release the Epstein files...Oopsie, I forgot about that time we...and that other time...oh boy, can't let that one get out. There are no Epstein files!". " I'm going to deport all these dangerous illegal immigrants...bribes so cartels and gangs can conduct business? Really, that guy... and him? Well, just grab people off the street and act like they're criminals. Just get them locked up someplace no damn lawyers can get a hold of them."
You may not be able to stop Thailand and Cambodia from killing one another, but most of us can delight a friend with a visit or a small gift. Or perhaps we can create a small garden or other example of creativity
my 9th grade history teacher and debate coach (and also weirdly 7th grade assistant principal) gave me one big project to do instead of homework one semester, mostly because he wanted me to pass and be eligible to participate on the debate team. it was on Manifest Destiny, and i actually researched it at a couple of university libraries. been a Democrat ever since.
I read these snide, unprofessional shitposts coming out under the official banner of a government agency and it is obvious our government is under the control of trolls. These people are the lowest scum and they are ruining people’s lives.
I love how in that little circle diagram, the highlight is on "Democrats swoop in with tears to defend criminals" - but they ignore the very next part - "ICE provides proof of why aliens were arrested".
They not only do NOT do that, they lie about it. ICE needs to be dissolved - preferably in a 55-gallon drum of acid.
