Kamala just gave a speech in PA about her Opportunity Economics plan. It’s a good speech with ideas that can be utilized. Americans have to be able to hear her speech.
The short way to put it is that most Republican officeholders are just cheerleading for a system they love to pieces but don't understand, while the Democrats know more or less what to do when the train is fixing to run off the tracks. That's why the economy performs better when Democrats are in charge of the government. It may sound counterintuitive because of so much brainwashing over several decades, but it's true.
Most (all?) polls fail to include a question related to a couple of very telling issues that trump was totally responsible for: his total mishandling of the pandemic and January 6 and how about his criminal convictions? Astute pollsters need to figure out a way to work those things into the results. Some of you will probably say-you don't know anything about how scientific polls work-and I admit I don't.
if I was asked (I won’t be because I am Canadian), I would ask define “the economy”. Are you talking about GDP, the stock market, interest rates, current rate of inflation, grocery prices? Exactly, in detail is your question about the economy mean? This is why pools are flawed. Those, like me, who ask these questions to the specious poll questions get hung up on and those who have some vague “idea” or just do not care or give a response.
Captains of industry and people who have stolen gobs of money like the GQP because it cuts their taxes (thus creating expensive infrastructure crises) and lets them beat up on labor. The "look the other way" attitude toward employers (like PAB) that hire undocumented employees at substandard wages is another big draw.
My niece is befuddled. She thinks government and politics are the same and all bad. I'm trying to help her understand what govt does and how it is affected by who you elect. I expect she will vote third party, grrr. I will explain that #1 soon we will have three major parties (she hates the two- party system developed by the founders), and #2 the electoral college is the real problem.
Be kind and supportive. In my first presidential election vote, I chose and independent with disastrous results. Sometimes, seeing the results of your folly sharpens you.
I voted John Anderson in 1980. I paid for it by having joined the Army in September and entered active duty in December of that year. Reagan's whole first term.
Good news in this article but we must also remember the reasons for the baseline position:
1. A right-wing media human centipede, which dutifully (and uncritically) repeats assertions by President Klan Robe and all other members of his unreconstructed party;
And 2. Murc's Law, which stipulates that only Democrats have agency. This means that Democratic claims will be nitpicked to death, and only Democrats will get sustained follow-ups.
This is also how the long-term lie of “Republicans are better for the economy and defense” remains despite all the real-world data. And there are plenty of credulous “undecideds” primed to swallow that hogwash.

A reminder to all what Trump's campaign strategy always boils down to.

Cornell Belcher does, and he agrees with you

That guy couldn't run a lemonade stand.

polls
Does any poll define “economy”?
I sent my absentee ballot in today! Blue all the way, but it IS West Virginia; my mileage may vary!
2 Takes on this:
First there is a myth that the economy does better under Republicans.
Check out the GOP administrations for the past 38 years and that is not so.
Second our undereducated populace believes that so they continue to vote GOP.
Republicans are masters of getting people to vote against their best interests
Lastly our duplicitous Media fuel this
excellent
The economy performs better under Democratic administrations, worse under GQP. Here's the report:

How is crime a dead heat?
She is a prosecutor.
He is a convicted rapist and a felon for financial crimes.
It's a poll of 1771 people, and the margin of error is 3.4%. At least some of them have to be idiots. The smart ones don't answer polls, so . . . . .
So TFG still hasn't quite caught on to the absolute fact that infanticide is illegal in all 50 states.
Assuming he isn't just lying his ass off.

I plan on hopefully doing a little education. Hopefully it will help.

I have had my spanking.
I am sorry she is incapable of caring about anyone else's life.
I hope she grows out of it.
Other than “Economy,” PAB only leads in the “I’m a giant fucking racist” questions: Israel/Palestine, and immigration.
It’s a miracle that they’re tied on the other one, crime.

Well said, thanks.
