I enjoy all of Kamala's Politics of late, but she's not to be trusted. She was SF's Real Estate Pimp, Willie Brown's (not a Progressive) bud. They are both, along with London Breed, in the Back Pockets of the Real Estate Moguls and have been vocal against Rent Control.
I think she prefers cross-examine the racist old white sex creep contingent under oath.
And damn, she is good at it. I'm not really a law-and-order fan, but having a legal expert in the White House sounds good right now. Just think what she could do for the Justice Department.
