Voters this time around decided that the only thing they had to cling to was fear itself. And wow did they ever.

I think you are absolutely right about that. It's a tribal thing. And the tribe that prevails in an election is the one that puts more players/warriors on the field. So yeah, the people made their voices heard in 2014, if by "people" you mean "the Republican base," angry older white men.

It'll be interesting to see (In a slow motion train wreck kind of way) what happens when an entire US state slips into bankruptcy.

53% may have said that, but how many of them think it's more important that two guys can't get hitched than making sure their schools aren't made of used cardboard and string?

We did the same idiocy in AZ. We managed to elect a new governor who will make Brewer look like a genius, along with a slate of GOP nutbags. We even voted for an obviously unconstitutional measure that would give us the right to nullify federal law (can't wait to watch them piss aways millions of dollars on that one- sorry kids, no school lunches this year, we spent that money in court defending republican masturbatory fantasies). We couldn't even manage to elect a pro solar power team to the corporation commission in AZ. Apparently the yokels would rather burn fossil fuels than use the most abundant resource in our state.

So hey guys! I just woke up and I must of drank way too much last night because I passed out with the election results running in the background. Anyway, I had this horrible nightmare. I was in a room covered with red, white and blue streamers, surrounded by Republican politicians that were all in bizarre dress.

Each one took turns raping me, one right after the other. Mitch McConnell was in skin tight leather with a ball-gag in his mouth and crawling on all fours. They said horrible things to me as they abused me. Brownback shouted "This is the only free education you're ever going to get from me." Scott Walker told me to "Shut up! If you don't have ID, you've got no say in this". Lindsey Graham was dressed demurely in a poodle skirt and sweater, and was actually quite polite. Then someone, I'm not sure who, shouted, "Stop complaining, if this was legitimate rape you'd have shut it down already". The dream seemed to go on all night long.

Well, it probably didn't mean anything anyway. So, what happened in Kansas?
