And while Senate & House Dems are working their asses off, (Manchin and Sinema not included), Republicans are just working the ropes and phones campaigning for 2022. Rs are not doing a damn thing right now except that, because they don't have to, and doing nothing will apparently not hurt them with their voters, Mitch has played the games for many years.

If I am alive, you can bet come re-election time I will contribute generously to her opposition. And to be sure her role in fucking over seniors is made clear to all those senior voters in Arizona. Promise. Is this where I curtsy?

She has been elected to the senate once, in 2018; she's not up for her first re-election until 2024. The Kyrsten Sinema who campaigned was nothing like this one; heck this isn't who she was until last year.

I swear someday she'll stand up in the well of the Senate, crank the "Mission Impossible" theme and dramatically pull off her rubber Kyrsten Sinema mask to reveal she's been Martha McSally all along...

Believe me, we denizens of the TSKoA are getting ready to primary her to oblivion.

My husband's glaucoma drops are >$100/month even with decent insurance. We aren't seniors but really hope to avoid him going blind before we are.

I’m surprised she still has any staffers left who haven’t quit in disgust yet.

Arizona, determined not to be bested by imbecilic states like Alabama or Tejas, has a storied history of electing jackasses like a racist governor and syphilitic House reps, and can now boast of yet another senator joining those ranks. Please proceed, Grand Canyon state.

I am a vibrantly healthy 67-year-old who takes no pharmaceuticals other than my recent vaccines (Moderna booster; flu shot; both free of charge). I take a few supplements, which I pay for out of pocket. As a friend put it years ago, "You pay zero for medicine, but you pay a fortune for your food." She was right; I'm a health nut. It's expensive but worth it.

About 12 years ago, I had an accident. I was uninsured, so I paid out-of-pocket for useless X-rays at the office of the orthopedic surgeon who told me mine was not a surgical case, as well as the MRI that enabled him to diagnose the problem, twice weekly physical therapy, a TENS-pack, hydrocollator, and Therabands, so I could replicate much of the physical therapy at home, and OTC traditional Chinese medicine and other supplements to accelerate the healing process. My medical expenses totaled $5,500, for which I was reimbursed when I settled the case. Had I required surgery, I would have joined the ranks of medical bankruptcies. The ortho's physician's assistant gave me lists so I could find the cheapest options for both the MRI and the PT.

While unemployed and on Medicaid, I found out I harbored the virus that causes Hepatitis C. The state paid $90,000 for the 12 week, one pill a day treatment. I was cured.

I do, however, work with clients who are not only HIV-positive, but are aging. Several of them have unrelated comorbidities (asthma, diabetes type II, sickle cell anemia, etc.). Because of them, I am aware of how much drugs cost for chronic conditions. It's despicable. Sinema is disgraceful.

She will work with anyone to get things done TO Arizona, whether Arizonans like it or not.

I, too, am in this situation, only the spouse with glaucoma is me. I've been suffering from insomnia occasionally since the diagnosis, then it got steadily worse over the last few years. I hope I don't go blind before I'm a senior, too.
