In a Lake-Gallego match up, I would expect Gallego to win easily. In a three-way race, it's too close to call except Sinema would almost certainly lose. That's why I think she's expecting democrats to pressure Gallego not to run out of fear it would hand the seat over to Lake and to put up a sacrificial lamb instead. If she can narrow the race to effectively just her and Lake (or whomever the GOP nominates), she could win that.
At least, that's how I think she sees it. Obviously, I'm not privy to her personal thoughts.
I really hope no democrats are stupid enough to fall for her Lucy with the football routine again. She's lost her value to the party, betrayed them, and abandoned them - why the hell should they put a cent towards her reelection when she's worthless to them if she wins?
AZ is a weird place. I’m no political scientist, but I wonder why Sinema didn’t just go bold and turn red. She clearly leans more to the right than left these days, and since all republicans care about is power, they will receive her VERY warmly and with cuddles and giggles. I’ll despise her forever due to that curtsy thumbs down on raising minimum wage. What a POS. But wouldn’t she win more wingnuts in AZ by announcing “the left is insane, America is full of patriotic conservatives who love Jesus and designer glasses, and I am one!” How as an “independent” is she going to get votes from either side? Or is this just her accepting her fate, and planning to weigh her options, such as working for a PAC and getting paid bank.
The only things that interest daffy lady Sinema are dressing like a neon sign in the red light district to draw attention, and wealthy donors. She’s just having a fabulous time enriching herself while mocking minimum wage earners. She’s trash.
Yes. If "Independent" worked as a strategy for getting elected, there would be a whole lot more of them in Congress. On paper, it sounds good: one might imagine getting a sufficient percentage from Dems/Pubs/Independents to put them across the finish line. But apparently it doesn't work that way -- I think most people -- rightly -- just don't see "Independent" as having anything like the status of a political party, so they won't vote for someone with an (I) next to their name. I'm guessing that even most voters who register as "Independent" won't vote for an (I) in the general election.
Lake is a nut. Gallego will beat her easily. Sinema can go kick a can down the street.
The Senator from Hot Topic can go fuck herself, with or without votes.

Doesn't San Marino need a US ambassador? Sure would make things easier....
Can Gallegos do it?

Gotta be the weirdest privileged shit I’ve read in a while… besides Former President, Lardass, of course.
Damn… I always miss the good stuff…

She’s methodical and she has a plan.
Is it the same one the Cylons had?
She is making Bernie's bet. But in AZ, without an ideological base, and using quirky lady instead of wise angry grandpa.
>She can't win but she can make Gallego lose.Bernie with pixie dust.
Well said!
Bad Faith Senator Hawley is not worthy of praise.
