When I was a sophomore in high school, we were shown a film in Biology class about the dangers of LSD. This included photos of children born to parents who'd conceived while one or both were tripping. The kids had arms growing out of their shoulders and legs growing out of their hips. A few years later, I learned those photos were of thalidomide babies from the 50's.
The first time I was offered acid, I took it without hesitation. I figured that, if there was anything dangerous in it, the government would have made a film telling me that rather than one that tried to scare me with lies.
