Yeah as an NC resident myself I think you're right. Worked at a music store in Durham during his American Idol run, I think the overlap between people who love his music and people who generally vote republican out of ignorance (ie it doesn't actually serve their personal interests) is pretty high in certain demographics. Whether those people STILL love him that much a decade later is a good question, but I think at the very least he makes that race more competitive than most other candidates the democrats could run.

What's up with the sign? It being yellow and black is supposed to scare of "illegals" since they wouldn't know what it reads anyway? Oh my!

Nah, West Side Story is only beloved by Real Americans(TM) when it has a white chick wearing tan makeup in the Maria role. Actual Puerto Ricans are NOT WELCOME IN OUR MUSICALS THANKYOUVERYMUCH.

Also, too, in order to have any respect for the rule of law one must be an AM radio host with a penchant for saying racist, stupid bullshit daily, not for example, an Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court.

There's something to be said for restricting immigration: Think of how much better off we'd be, if we'd kept that fucker out.

I can't find the documentation for my toaster. I guess that makes it illegal.

I can't decide between "they deserve each other" and "<i>Nobody</i> deserves that."

"I farted and you can't get up" better fits the facts here.
