The wife of the Chief Justice has grifted even more money than Ginni. Which is probably why he doesn’t want any ethics rules, or any investigation of Ginni. He’s just as guilty of the exact same corruption.

Someday Roberts Court will have the same historical meaning as Taney. Remember when Roberts mouthed “not true” when Obama called out the corrupting influence of big money?

Obama taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago. He knew a slippery slope of corruption when he saw it.

When I worked in state gov we had serious ethics rules we had to follow and training every year. One of them was we could not advocate for any political candidate or party at work -- no signs, literature, posters, brochures, fliers, email, conversation, contributions solicitations, etc. This did not stop the department Asst. Director from turning her office into campaign headquarters for the Republican gov candidate -- signs, literature, posters, brochures, etc. etc.

It also didn't stop the department Director from sending a dept-wide email urging (actually blatantly telling) us all to vote for the Republican gov candidate because he was such a nice guy, and had done a such great job in his first term, and we owed him our jobs because he didn't cut our budget.

Have we focus on giving Ginni “another” $25 large? Seems like a regular thing, no?

When I moved to Tahoe in 1971 I paid 175.00 for a season pass at Squaw. Now it’s called Palisades and it’s over $200 per day. My knees don’t miss it anywaysThat is a drag for your girl. We had “church group” ski trips when I was a teen. They were uh. Fucking awesome

It's like doing something about guns. We can't do anything about it because the entire Republican party are bad faith actors at best and at worst (and more likely) outright fascists bent on turning the U.S. into a criminal enterprise. I just wonder at the point of even reading about it.

Yeah, my own ethics rules forbid similar. One of our Directors has a husband who is a perpetual candidate. I don't work in her department but I haven't heard that she actively campaigns on agency time.

I hate the use of the term "contractor" unless it pertains to actual construction worker contractors. Every fucking time someone talks about being a "federal contractor" I wanna ask them where their hardhat is, and if they're renovating or building from scratch. Yes, this is just BS semantic ranting, but still...

If you’ve smelled one, you know.

Our German Shepherd used to pick fights with them and come crying to the door, that rubbery nasty smell so thick you could taste it.

I don't believe there is any active agency in Clarence. Buy me, sell me, jerk me around like a marionette. Give me a yacht for a day; gimme gimme. I forgot to say me first.
