I don't think the US is any longer the world's Super Power. I have long though that China would someday take that position and I believe trumpy speeded that up by many years. We have a mean-spirited and incompetent federal government. For decades the Repubs have been fighting an uncivil war against US citizens; as a country, we waste a huge amount of energy and resources fighting each other. Now trumpy is destroying our economy. We could come back, but I don't think we should. Being the world's Super Power doesn't do ordinary citizens any good unless they want to send their kids to war. Only the super-rich do well. The US would make four nice countries if divided properly: East Coast, West Coast, Midwest, and South. The South would get to keep trumpy.

Ukraine has made it emphatically clear that, under Sir, Vance, Hegseth, Gabbard, Johnson, et al, the United States of America is not to be relied upon, is not to be trusted, is not to be included, is not to be consulted, is not to be considered an ally.
It isn't an ally at all. We have launched economic war against former allies, smeared their reputations, and left them with no trust in the US. trumpy is isolating the US and it will be difficult to reverse that, especially as long as so many American believe stupid things.
