When I read the header I thought maybe the real clowns were suing the Rethuglifascists for unfair competition.

Ta, Robyn. I hope the literal clowns succeed in their lawsuit because the figurative clowns have it coming.

Something bad happened to a clown.

Why don't sharks eat clowns? Because they taste funny.

Kicking a clown when they are down is just awful, pathetic!

I keep picturing a clown with a really bad skin condition.

George Adolph Rodriguez - that's a name that takes you on a journey.

Also, this seems fishy to me: "Salorio eventually found a new job as a music teacher in August 2020 but lost the position four months later when Rodriguez called her new employer to insist she was “nothing but problems and drama,” the suit states."

I have a hard time believing a school would fire someone after they'd already been working there for months based on a single bad phone call from a previous employer. It seems like there's something else going on.

Yeah, that doesn't sound very plausible, hell people are afraid to give unflattering answers when somebody calls to check employment references.

What amazes me is that there are clowns who actually get overtime work let alone 40 hours of work a week.

Every time I hear a libertarian say they are no need for laws because "enlightened self-interest" would keep the employers honest I have to laugh, Clearly they have never worked.

I knew a libertarian who was vehemently against handicapped parking. The government shouldn't be telling the property owners how they should use their property, he argued.

He also believed that able-bodied people would park farther out so spaces close in would be available for the less-abled.

That person has never lived in the real world.

Ohmygod, is that really a think they say? How have I made it these long 46 years without hearing that golden tripe? 🤣

Just read https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/ on any given day of the week if you want to know how terrible employers are.

It's easy to maintain one's ideological libertarian stance from mom's basement

Geez the conning and theft makes me think George Rodriguez is one of "George" "Santos"' many aliases. I hope these folks get made whole.

"and even required the clowns to pay them $5-$10 per hour"

I've worked for some sketchy rent-a-worker agencies in my time but not even those were this brazen.
