But despite that they are struggling to win the propaganda war. Even though the United States press is fully on their side. Probably because one of the combatants is strong, and the other is weak. Also, too, the United Nations repeated calls to stop killing civilians isn't helping. This latest blast about the horrible sexual assaults committed by Hamas was what you might call a propaganda bomb. Very organized. They had Sheryl Sandberg ready to talk to the UN, they had influential women such as Hillary Clinton and Joyce Vance all lined up to speak on their behalf and write letters to the United Nations. I'm not saying that the assaults didn't happen, but this information didn't leak out slowly. It was released in a coordinated manner. The people of the United States are its target.
You'll be pleased to know that Bill Ackman is VERY upset about college presidents saying anything that is critical of Israel. He's apparently unaware that his favorite political party is FULL of antisemites. He must have been on one of his private islands when Trump's Red Hats were screaming "Jews will not replace us!!!"

Throughout this war the US and NATO wait until the situation is critical before upping the more advanced weapon systems. Which then take months to ship and train on. Saying they don't want to send a signal to Russia that we are expanding our aid to Ukraine by supplying weapons that might help them win. These surplus previous generation tanks should have been sent a year ago. They were either in storage or for military reserve training purposes. And pilots and mechanics should have been trained on F-16s last winter and planes on the ground this past summer, when a Ukrainian offensive was supposed to start. Giving Ukraine more air coverage against an entrenched foe.
F-16's would be great, but for this war, give me A-10's. How many times has congress tried to retire that fleet? I see your point though, Ukraine needs both.
If existing Ukrainian aircraft can't make it to front lines to attack Russian formations, A-10s which are even slower than SU-25s would not last very long.
Logistics are a bitch. Getting the Ukrainian ground forces the support they need, both with combined arms training and with logistical support, takes time. I know it's frustrating, but Ukraine is holding its own right now.
In modern war, logistics is king. I actually favor supplying UA with Leopard IIs, shiteloads of them. They are actually better suited to the theatre. The fewer different kinds of things they have the easier the logistics become. Exponentially so.
Germany had too many variants of too many things. Unlike the allies. Russia had mostly T-34s, shitloads of them, US had Shermans, shitloads of them. In tanks, Germany had moderate numbers of Panzer 3s (outdated), 4s (outdated), Panthers (good), Tigers (crap), and a few King Tigers (shit), etc. among other crap. They struggled keeping the supplies and spare parts moving for all of those things.
The piece-of-shit GOP is making noises that they're not going to approve any aid to Ukraine, Israel, or Taiwan until next year, because "fuck the immigrants" is why.
