The guys working on the new sewer lines have been ckearing the drainage ditches, leaving mounds of really fertile dirt. Yesterday, I got my wheelbarrow and shovel and moved a shitload into my driveway to solve a drainage problem. We has heavy rain last night, and I see where I need more. The idea is to plant grass to arrest the erosion.
They're digging further down the street, and I asked them if they could drop a loader full more in my driveway. And they're going to! I apparently am not the only person who has made that request. That would cost a few hundred dollars normally.
Update: the calipers needed to be replaced; they were sticking and wore out my pads. It's not surprising since the truck is 22 years old. It's all fixed now and I went and a new set of tires. The truck is back to running great.
