College should be affordable in the first place, and the only reason people get buried in this kind of debt is that college is NOT affordable. If you tell people that college is absolutely necessary, it needs to be reasonably affordable, and canceling student debt is one way to make it so, at least retroactively. That's why I favor it. I myself never needed any student loans, so it isn't personal with me.
