Just agree. She's right, that's what trials are for, to hear the evidence. Of course I'm sure she understands that the charge is the result of a Grand Jury hearing evidence and returning an indictment, and that a judge reviewed that indictment under the rules and allowed an arraignment to happen, and that his lawyers are free to move to dismiss if they believe the evidence isn't there, and then a jury of his peers will consider whether guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
Here is an additional comment for Daniel--I do remember Trumpy Neighbor saying something, months ago, that the entire thing should be dropped. So when I get a chance to ask her about this, she may just say that everyone should just forget about it.

I can't remember if you were the one who asked me to ask Trumpy Neighbor about that. I intended to do so, and before I had a chance, she had a terrible fall in a parking lot and broke her shoulder. She had to have surgery, followed by sixteen weeks of convalescence. She can't even hold her phone right now.
All Trumpy conversations are on hold until she is up and moving around better. I took her a candle and I check with her daughter every day to see how she is doing, but I can't actually have a conversation with her until the pain subsides somewhat.
I find myself feeling that way, also. These are people of average intelligence who surely could do a bit better, if they were motivated. There's no motivation to find out FACTS; they're just into their beliefs.

If the President were immune to prosecution for any act committed in office, that would mean Biden could murder Trump and face no consequences for it. Not even having to send in Navy Seals or anything, but literally taking a gun and shooting him live on TV. All he'd have to do, according to Trump's lawyers and Trump himself, is resign immediately afterwards and he would never be able to be prosecuted.
Then there's the question I allude to above- if the charges are fake, and Trump is not guilty of any crime, why was so much of his counter-argument that he should be immune to prosectution for them? That doesn't really sit comfortably with the idea that he's not guilty. It's an argument that he should be allowed to commit crimes.
Of course, the belief that this is the case is sincere for Trump, but when he says "Presidents" he means one President only, and that is himself.
