The only problem is that a quick glance at the US Constitution shows that Alito and Thomas can do whatever the fuck they want to and no one can stop them.
Except for cases where the Supreme Court has original jurisdiction, the Constitution says: "With such exceptions and under such regulations as Congress shall make."
That would make a clear case that Congress is authorized by the Constitution to make a law that stated that if there is a conflict of interest the Justice shall recuse themselves and failure to do so is a felony.
Surely shame and Thomas and Alito's desire to do the decent thing for the country and the Constitution will convince them that they need to recuse themselves.
