Nothing wrong with reiterating the fact that so much information and power like in political parties is in the hands of people who, it’s not just that they’re affluent, it’s that they live in a fucking bubble and don’t know anything about what it’s like to try to make ends meet. They could fucking think about that. Also we could have novels about that. Or sitcoms. (Sitcoms alone, not enough.)

Wild turkeys are absolutely killer! There’s this wonderful documentary by John and Janet Foster that shows the mama turkey looking after the little babies and then they grow up. They sleep on the branch of a tree all spread out in a line like something in a Dr. Seuss book! 😯🦃They also have a really cool film about icebergs. They go in a helicopter and land on an iceberg. 😯

I'm the exception then, and not the rule; I rent an apartment from an older couple who are the best landlords on earth.

Yeah I excluded the small ones. They can be good or bad. But big landlord companies are a nightmare.

That's kind of where I am. I'm so used to the beyond Batman Villain types that this guy seems almost acceptable in comparison. I expected to hate anyone he proposed, and unfortunately resigned that we will probably get whoever it is because numbers.

Before you confuse him with that legal mambo-jumbo, he’ll likely ‘need some more specifics’.

There isn't much push back for confirmation as I suspect most (if not all) expect him to be gone soon.

Thanks for supporting our Coasties. USCG can be a great job choice, except when the shit comes down, you're out in it, saving other people. To be on the job but not getting paid is just really stinky bullshit and unacceptable. It's like "Oh firefighters save my house and my town! Oh, you want to be paid? Ungrateful lazy government takers!" Gah!

And I don't know how anyone, most especially a lawyer with decades of government service, can not be familiar with the Emoluments Clause after all that's been written and said about it over the last two years. If true, it means the dude is living in a dark media-free environment (or watching Fox exclusively). Every other lawyer and former prosecutor I know has been glued to the non-stop constitutional crisis, and the Emoluments bit is an essential part of this story.
