Looks Like Trump Obstructed ALL THE JUSTICE, KATIE! (Your Senate Intel Committee Live-Stream!)
Trump's boy.
If it's a day in America, Donald Trump is obstructing justice. A few weeks ago, it was reported that in March, just after former FBI director James Comey (who is testifying TOMORROW!) confirmed that yes, there is a big counter-intelligence investigation into Trump and his associates over their possible collusion with Russia, Trump got up in the personal space of NSA director Mike Rogers and Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats (both of whom are testifying TODAY!) to beg them to make public statements saying the president was NOT under investigation. No such statements were made, so we have to assume both men were like "Um, stranger danger!" and backed away slowly from the president. Just after that report came out, DNI Coats testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee, and he didn't confirm the report, but he certainly didn't deny it either.
At that time, the Washington Post reported that "senior White House officials sounded out top intelligence officials" on whether they could take Comey back behind the gym and rough him up, to convince him to drop the FBI's investigation into Michael Flynn. But new reporting from the Washington Post adds some more specificity to that report! It turns out that Trump's attempts to grab his intelligence chiefs by the pussy were more direct and in person than we knew, and also Trump tried to violate the integrity of CIA Director Mike Pompeo too:
The nation’s top intelligence official told associates in March that President Trump asked him if he could intervene with then-FBI Director James B. Comey to get the bureau to back off its focus on former national security adviser Michael Flynn in its Russia probe, according to officials.
On March 22, less than a week after being confirmed by the Senate, Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats attended a briefing at the White House together with officials from several government agencies. As the briefing was wrapping up, Trump asked everyone to leave the room except for Coats and CIA Director Mike Pompeo.
Reportedly, Trump spent their meeting bitching and moaning about James Comey, and afterward Coats told his pals he felt very uncomfortable. And this all happened inside the White House, which is just a tacky use of the People's House, we think.
When he testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Coats indicated that, while he was keeping his mouth shut that day (he seemed confused and startled during the hearing, honestly), he would be willing to say what he knows to one of the intelligence committees, and oh my goodness, that hearing with the Senate Intel Committee just started! It features Coats and Mike Rogers and acting FBI director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Would you like to watch that?

It does if other people get to decide if you stay in the car.
and on top of that, they are really inept, almost hilariously so. And understaffed. I'll be surprised if they accomplish anything while in office. Chaos reigns supreme in the white house.
