Avoid states with low vaccination rates if you can.

They will become breeding grounds for further, and, perhaps more deadly mutations.

The Trump administration will deny all of it, and will mismanage the problem with a hands-off approach. It will not quaratine people, but rather require them to gather publicly at the office and school thus compounding the problem.

Truly a state that would benefit greatly from a plague.

They’re not known for their vast intelligence in Louisiana which is evident in Speaker Mike Johnson’s words & actions. They will certainly regret their stance on vaccines sooner rather than later πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Louisiana resident here. Our new governor is a complete MAGA ignoramus so I would expect no less. Got my flu and covid vaccines months ago. I will not be putting my health in their ignorant grubby paws.

Actually I think it might be rather easy never having to use one's brain at all.

Like any organ, underuse contributes to atrophy of the gray matter, I'd imagine.

Remember, the mad tea party in "Alice in Wonderland" was not discomforting for the Mad Hatter and the other participants but only for Alice. The rest had a good time.

A mad tea party is an apt description for 'Murka.

As far as promoting vaccinations... isn't that what NGOs and medical professionals and even pharmacies can and should be doing?

"I would have loved to give you a vaccination but the government never told you about them" is not how capitalism works.

Make sure you’re up to date on all vaccines now.

Fine! Let them learn the hard way. They get to feel like they're dying, PLUS get to change their sheets every morning because of the relentless night sweats. I learned the hard way last winter, and never again.

Get ALL of the ones you've been recommended to get while it is still legal/ available/affordable (because once vaccines are no longer Federally recommended health care, you'd better believe your insurance company won't cover them).

"Viruses are actually tiny parasites". OMFG.

By the way, they make a new flu vaccine every year, so this isn't like COVID and a completely novel virus.
