Months after the November election, conservatives are still wandering dazed through the cratered post-apocalyptic fever dream of an America they no longer recognize, one where a socialist tyrant somehow was democratically re-elected by a majority of voters to steal all the monies from the rich (2% of the population) and redistribute them to the poor (everyone else).
They're targeted at the "people who don't spend Sunday mornings in bed having sex" demographic. Not a cheerful bunch, on average.
There's not a lot you can do about the "turn on Fox and throw away the remote" demographic ... we're gonna be stuck with those fuckwads until they die off. It's scary to think what might have happened if they'd been 10 or 20% more numerous.
