If the republican campaign (up & down ballot) wasn't so disgusting, misogynistic and downright cruel it might have some entertainment value. NAAAHHHH...
Right now I'm in the middle of reading "Carry Me Home," Diane McWhorter's terrific 2001 book about the civil-rights struggle as seen from Birmingham, Ala. When I read about all the pain and shit and clueless white people that King and all the others in the Movement had to deal with, an ignorant asshole like this is especially annoying.
The nazi garbage wasn’t enough to sour Republicans on him. The hypocrisy wasn’t either, that’s a gop requirement. But admitting you find trans people in porn a turn on was simply too much. You are supposed to accuse them of spying on people in bathrooms or trying to gain an unfair advantage in sports. Robinson lost the message.
"Top corporate contributors to the RGA [Republican Governors Association, which has thrown its support behind Mark Robinson this election] this cycle include Google ($585,000), Walmart ($570,000), CVS ($550,000), Microsoft ($550,000), Travelers Insurance ($460,000), Amazon ($450,000), Deloitte ($400,000), Charter Communications ($385,000), Oracle ($325,000), Pfizer ($300,000), Coca-Cola ($250,000), The Motion Picture Association ($250,000), and Wells Fargo ($250,000)."
.
"On June 4, 2024, the RGA received a $250,000 contribution from DoorDash...Like many companies that support the RGA, DoorDash also made six-figure contributions to the Democratic Governors Association (DGA). But these contributions are not equivalent. The DGA is not supporting any gubernatorial candidates that have called themselves a Nazi or advocated for the reinstatement of slavery. God ole Nazi man says he's gonna fight with CNN big time..Let's see if he actually does. I don't think that he will given that the story is indeed true and discovery will not be in his favor.
I am trying not to die of schadenfreude at this point as I am waiting for the Big Moose after November 5.
Ta, Gary. Robinson is one of the ugliest excuses for a human I've ever seen, inside and out. Do better, North Carolina.
This man is so angry it's a little bit frightening. I also worry about his wife.
...his kids, his cat, his dog, his goldfish, his drywall....
Something I saw online (and I can't remember where):
Donald Trump said Mark Robinson was MLK on steroids. He turned out to be Herschel Walker on steroids.
"He turned out to be Herschel Walker on poppers."
A modest proposal.
'I'll build a better campaign. With blackjack and hookers!'
"Are you Eddie Brock now?"
This really does seem the most plausible explanation so far
Dead people have won elections, so I expect Robinson to get at least 45% of the vote.

Do you think it would be OK to create a list of people who vote for Robinson in November and just automatically put them on a sex Offender watchlist?
Yes. Also terrorism.
NC GOP Please proceed....
Watch for the pundit pieces speculating about possible replacements if he does drop out. That's the beginning of the end.

Notably, Robinson was absent from Trump's latest NC rally, both literally and in speech (i.e., Trump didn't mention him once).
