So the slightly hyped Big Climate Change "Debate" between science education advocate and teevee guy Bill Nye and Tennessee congresspillock Marsha Blackburn on Sunday'sMeet The Press actually turned out to be a whopping 13-minute segment, which was short enough that no real details could be explained, yet long enough to make a viewer yearn for the sweet release of death. The only good thing to be said for it was that host David Gregory framed it as a debate on climate change
Here is a quick cost/benefit of doing nothing: hundreds of millions of lives, destruction of most of the world's most valuable and most economically productive real estate as cost, nothing at all as benefit.
DKos has some nerds that know. What we have done so far ain't good enough, whether doing enough will be possible seems an open question, we probably still need better storage technologies for "time shifting"
"Negawatts" probably still our most productive opportunity
Does the fact that climate change is still widely regarded as just another political football mean that we deserve the extinction we have likely unleashed?
I hate myself for saying this but, Noah?
Also, flooding.
You mean Hitler?
The state that evolution forgot. No, wait. It's the other way around.
Hilary/Nye 2016!!!
Thanks, that was an excellent rant.
Are you sure it's not? Obama mentioned the "globe" a few days ago...
Nye reminded the congresspillock that he is indeed not a member of Congress — but she is...
There's a simple way to fix that ridiculous arrangement.
Suckers. Only the top .1% can do that!

That guy who invented the internet?

People are dumb.
Nye should give up before he's asked to debate Palin's Special Snowflake on this issue.
Isn't it all Obama's fault anyway?
