I know four people (including hubby and me) that had covid for the first time, in the last four weeks and we're all careful and vaccinated.

My VERY CAREFUL retired doctor sweetie has it. She tested positive 2 weeks ago. If she can catch it, any of us can. (It's a fairly minor case, a couple of quite bad days, and some tedious recovery.)

I am back to a lot of masking and not much going out (no fun without her anyway). Although I was pretty thoroughly exposed to her the day before she tested positive and part of my brain thinks I must be bulletproof-immune if I didn't catch it from her, the smarter part of my brain is all "SHIELDS UP!" and you should probably listen to the smarter part of my brain.

It's not gone, folks.
