They made a movie about that incident called Fruitvale. It's supposed to be good but I couldn't watch it. My nightmares aren't about being attacked by monsters, but are instead about knowing that something totally awful is going to happen and only being able to watch the grindingly inevitable approach to the awful thing without being able to stop it. Fruitvale to me was a horror movie.
Right? I know it’s really hard to keep it all straight - first grown-ass women say they don’t want to be referred to as girls, but when you try to appease them by calling high-school-age girls “women” they don’t like that either. Women, can’t live with ‘em, so it’s a good thing guns are so easy for domestic abusers to get.
Depending on the state, and, if they're committing a crime, their social class and race. A white suburban offender is likely to be called a "youth" and a non-white offender "man" or "woman"... into their 20s.
Part of the failure to join the rest of the planet in going metric was just getting anal about it. 3 miles if 5 kilometers; Highway speed is 100 K/H; a liter is a little more than a quart; a kilo is two pounds and some... close enough.
Fruitvale Station, named after the location of the murder. It was the first major big-screen role for Michael B. Jordan, and the feature-length directorial debut for Ryan Coogler. They paired up again for Creed, and then again for an obscure film called Black Panther.
My nightmares aren't about being attacked by monsters, but are instead about knowing that something totally awful is going to happen and only being able to watch the grindingly inevitable approach to the awful thing without being able to stop it.And yeah, I have the same nightmares sometimes.

Also if nobody offers up the poon, he doesn’t mind just helping himself.
Doral? You mean the place I jumped the fence and peed on the greens? What a bed bug-infested cesspit...

I think we spent a full marking period in the fifth grade on it.
i read that more as an attempt to be clear about their gender, but girls would have been a better descriptor
they become so disconnected from reality that they can't comprehend anyone else as a person who matters - everything becomes 'what is in it for me'
can i get you a libation to assist with all that coughing? ;)
american exceptionalism at its finest
"When can we expect a retraction?"How about "never"? Does "never" work for you?
