No one mentioned a toolbox. I have a decent workshop, and reasonable skill working wood and metal. I have no special training, but I understand the mechanical principals behind firearms.

Let me repeat, for the hard of thinking: Guns aren't complex machines. They're easy to build, and have been for literally centuries. Muzzle loaders are literally 'one big hole and one small hole in a block of metal'.

It's not fucking rocket science, unless you want to make your own gunpowder, in which it actually is (2000 year old) rocket science.

Every fucking day I thank miscellaneous deities that I had the benefit of a proper education in Canada rather than whatever passes for book learnin' in the US.

Well, if downtown Chicago in the summer is any guide, I'm not sure I would argue with that.
