I don&#039;t believe what Big Fast Food says about the much higher price for food if their employees are paid a living wage. The founder of Papa John&#039;s pizza complained that if he provided insurance for his workers pizzas would cost another 50 cents! I&#039;d gladly pay a couple of dollars more to make sure my pizza doesn&#039;t get coughed on by a sick and harried worker wondering about paying their rent or feeding their kids. Dig what In-and-Out burger sez about their new hires:<i> Great Benefits We start all our new Associates at a minimum of $10.50 an hour for one simple reason...you are important to us! </i> The wage disparity in the American economy is as great a threat to our stability than another 9-11 or another Bush administration.
