Meghan McCain's Also Terrible Husband Attacks Seth Meyers Because Everything's Ridiculous
Ben Domenech says Meyers was being anti-Semitic against non-Semitic Megs.
Meghan McCain, that living testament to meritocracy, was a guest on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" last night, and we give her some credit for showing up. Megs McCabe had to know Meyers probably doesn't like her very much because he's a decent guy and it's scientifically impossible for decent people to like Megs McCabe.
Meyers called out McCain for her obsessive attacks of escalating grossness against Rep. Ilhan Omar. McCain, who we hear is the daughter of John McCain, recently tried to pin offensive-ish comments Omar had made to the extremely offensive bullets fired in a California synagogue. Meyers thought that was foul. After all, Omar has been the target of escalating death threats herself. She already has to deal with the president putting rhetorical targets on her back. She doesn't need a pile-on from the daughter of the guy who lost the presidency.

You shouldn't watch more of McCain than absolutely necessary. We already fell on that sword for you. There was some pointless banter about her totally earned-on-her-own-merits "Saturday Night Live" internship. She then expressed dismay that power-hungry fraud Lindsey Graham cares more about Donald Trump, who is both alive and president, than he does her father, who is neither.
When pressed on her Omar comments, McCain stood firm in her grossness, as she probably believes is her birthright.
MCCAINI think the Democrats are hedging on this [THEY ARE NOT, YOU LYING HACK], and I think it's very dangerous, and I think Chuck Schumer and I are in alignment about Israel's stance in geopolitical politics.
You "agree" with Chuck Schumer. This isn't a corporate boardroom, because only half the people talking are assholes. GTFOH with this "we are in alignment" shit.
MCCAIN: I think it's of the utmost importance — and I think [Omar] is bringing her party to the extreme…to the extremism on this. [SHE IS NOT] I stand by every single thing I've said, and if that makes me unpopular in this room or in front of you, so be it.
Meyers was exceedingly polite and deferential, but he wouldn't let her drop a deuce of right-wing talking points about Omar on his show. He reacts to McCain like the cool principal dressing down a smug, high school mean girl, except she is probably cool and this is Megs McCabe.
MEYERS: See, that's a weird thing, that you can take the position of trying to be 'unpopular.' Here I am trying to find the common ground on this.
Meyers also took McCain to task for constantly bringing up Omar's two dumb tweets while "forgetting" that Omar apologized for both of them, which is more than Trump and most Republicans do about anything offensive they say. McCain responded like the petulant child she is.
MCCAIN: Are you her publicist?
MEYERS: No, I'm just someone who cares about the fact that there's someone out there who is in a minority, who has had death threats against her, and I think that we should all use the same language. You're asking her to be careful about her language and I'd ask everyone to be careful about theirs.
Ben Domenech, who is McCain's husband and publisher of equally awful The Federalist, apparently watched an entirely different version of this interview. It was from the mirror universe where a goateed Meyers slung sulfuric acid in McCain's face. He flipped the fuck out on Twitter in now deleted tweets that still exist because of screenshot technology.

Meyers said nothing that was in any way anti-Semitic. Meyers is also of Jewish descent. He's married to a Jewish woman, and his children are Jewish. He does not personally consider himself Jewish because, unlike Megs McCabe, his father wasn't BFFs with Joe Lieberman.
Domenech crudely claims Meyers only has his current job because he "regularly gargles Lorne Michaels' balls." Fun fact: Domenech very recently fired DC McAllister, the "Denise" who was at his wedding, for tweeting equally homophobic garbage. Domenech then pulled a Trump and claimed Meyers would "beg for a third" of the viewership that watches "The View" despite his wife's toxic presence. He called Meyers the "perfect definition of a cuck," and in a total "un-cuck-like" move, he shared catty rumors about how everyone close to Meyers thinks he sucks.

Domenech doesn't have to apologize for loving Megs McCabe. We respect all alternative lifestyles here. However, he should've actually apologized to Meyers like an actual grownup. He would've seemed like less of a hypocrite given that he bemoaned the lack of "public civility" just a few months ago.
Is it possible our lack of public civility is a symptom of a lack of truly confrontational public debate?

Or the Meghan McCain who, all on her own, without reference to father or husband or father in law, is a spoiled, entitled, reactionary little bitch who shrieks and bridles and interrupts and lies for pay, every day, on The View, and who lied particularly viciously about Ilhan Omar (to be fair, George Stephanopoulos invited her to do it, and didn't try to correct the record even a little bit, so it's not like she's the only person at ABC who appears to be trying to get Ilhan Omar killed) and seems indifferent to the fact that the lies she's telling could result in violence.
