How about a story with a happy ending? (Not that kind, you perverts!) Up in Midland, Michigan, there is an outpost of Planet Fitness, which happens to have moved into yr Wonkette's own neighborhood recently. We have heard, from people, that it's a place where everybody is welcome, and that it's not full of meatheads. So, at the Midland location, a woman named Yvette Cormier was just shocked and awed and probably had all her religious freedom stolen, because there is a trans woman who goes to the same gym, and wouldn't you know, the gym actually lets her use the locker room that corresponds with her gender identity! This was, of course, an outrage, so Ms. Cormier, like some icky people
Some of the most obnoxious trans haters out there hail from a branch of feminism that denies the existence of trans women. Germaine Greer for example has said things about trans women that wouldn't sound out of place at the 700 Club.
Don't most people kind of keep their eyes down in a locker room anyway. There is always at least one person running around naked that only Rosanna Rosanna Danna could love. And the rest of us just want to get home and bleach our eyes. Now maybe if it was a locker room full evangelical buddhists trying to convert me to their demonic religion I might be nervous (#ThanksPat) but otherwise what is the big deal?
Welllll ..... the Brit approach is generally 'judgment' for when it's used in a legal context, and 'judgement' for every other occasion. Can't say fairer than that. :)
Yes, Brits *do* use an 'e' in judgement, but spell the word *without* an 'e' when it is used in a legal context (ie court reports etc). Signed, a formal legal editor.
Judgment is in transition back to its birth-spelling. Surgical addition of the 'e' will require time and the indulgence of a supportive community. However, in the mean time, the spelling likely be surprising and perhaps discomfiting to some readers. The shared values of an inclusive society sometimes requires us to tolerate unusual or even surprising appearances in order to facilitate full happiness for all.

Planet Fitness is a gimmick. Pizza and tanning booths? Dirt cheap prices and dorky mottos? Icky.

Judgement thanks you for your support.

I didn't know that! Thank you, sarahjane1912. Wonkette continues to educate.
She needs to work on her entitlement issues.
No, I have a Prius
No worries. My pleasure. :)
See? We're not as tea tarded as our state government makes us out to be.
Yeah, I hate those icky, low prices.
Either grey or gray, I can't decide.
Almost makes me want to join a gym.
Almost.
