This remarkable word depends entirely on inflection. Said dismissively, it's an insult, but any other way, it's the most wonderful word in the world, and invokes images of flesh and fur and all things beaver from the 70's and before, before women decided they should shave so they could look like 11 year olds.
Ever notice that on some other sites that when someone calls you a "troll" for politely voicing your well-reasoned opinion, that suddenly you are taken off ? But the "Troll alert !" comments are still there ? And one of those sites is National Review ? Makes me feel like a third-class citizen( Not really). Or makes me feel empowered that someone thinks I'm an ass.
