Mallory McMorrow was on Nicole Wallace's show yesterday I think (or maybe Moanin' Shmoe), and basically said she's staying in the state lege, because we need to keep and hold them. I love her.
Fun fact: Her district and Debbie S.'s (when she was in the House) serve essentially the same area of Michigan. Proud to say I worked for both of their campaigns.
She's a proud gun owner and a fierce advocate for stricter gun control after two shootings in her district (Oxford High School and Michigan State University). Her righteously angry calls to all responsible gun owners to get behind the changes we all know are needed have been playing well even in red areas.
Speaking of drag queens and fucking people up, I saw this article this morning and it warmed my heart.
"I’m not afraid to stand up to people, and I train to fight people all day, every day, so if somebody really wants to attack somebody, let them attack me instead,” Haught, the owner of Ohio Valley MMA in Wheeling, West Virginia, said. “Don’t attack the drag queens."
Slotkin is a serious, capable politician who is virtually impervious to the kind of culture war, kid stuff the gop bring to elections. She’s a very strong candidate to replace Stabenow, another serious politician. We are lucky to have them both here in MI.
