Heaven Forbid that the sexual desires of a person should be gratified!!! Of course, this creep probably does believe that Heaven forbids such things. (Which makes it odd that so much sexual gratification is still taking place, doesn't it?)

It's almost as if God, who doesn't exist, doesn't care about sex at all.

Ban Andrew Tate or protect Free Speech? Damn it Robyn, now I'm faced with a real life Trolley problem. Thanks a lot. :(

Keep in mind that Mike Lee comes from Utah and speaks for a contingent of men nationwide who think full-length pioneer dresses and bonnets are sexy as hell, flat-out fetish wear. Forcing all women into that shit would be a sexual Disneyland for them and their gross rape-boners.

Back in the 70s the Supreme Court tried like hell to define "obscenity" and all they could do was to say it "violated community standards," which meant that because there's no single "community standard," nothing much was done. Now we have the internet, which means these GOP pearl clutchers could possibly shut down most shows where there is nudity or adult language. What this Supreme Court will do when asked to rule on this idiotic culture war bill, well, use your imagination.

Could MAGA be considered obscenity under this law?

I get some nudie pictures and erotic stories in my Substack feed; I didn’t subscribe to them, they just started showing up. As a grown-up person, I can ignore them or click thru. If my hypotheical underage kid had access to a tablet, or phone, or computer I’d make sure blocking controls would be apporopriatley set.

That’s what adults do, they parent their children (not other people’s kids) to keep questionable content away from them.

I understand it’s these God-botherers aren’t just interested in keeping porn, etc, away from children, they want to force their ideas on everyone else, just like they want to force their God on everyone.

Facebook has been allowing pretty raunchy videos, as well.

What I object to is the exploitation of women's bodies and the violence of some kinds of porn, which is actually what the difference is between porn and erotica.

If you look to know how this will work out look no further than the "just say no to drugs" campaigns. Get ready for the war on porn, putting porn top of mind, all while porn productions becomes a much more illegally trafficked and highly profitable product.

It makes me wonder why anyone would ever bother to pass a law that cannot be enforced. It must have something to do with them and not with the law at all. Ego, maybe?

Legalize it, tax and regulate all the boners. In exchange for paying tribute to Lord Big Balls, you can buy a porn waiver and avoid prison. Pay and play, with yourself! :)

This sounds like the boner test to me. They should tie this bill to term limits, campaign finance reform and salary limits for congressmen, because Republicans will never ban something so dear to their hearts and boners. Or they will, to pretend how wholesome and godly they are, but then they will pray the law never applies to them and they can do their porn in secret shame, the way most hypocritical conservatives do things. Intent to arouse? These people are just the worst.

Guess we'll just have to include a scene of Sen. "Robert" M. Lee screwing his mother in an outhouse in our eroticas.

An interesting cultural difference that is definitely gendered in nature.

The subhead by a man would have read, "And a government small enough to fit in your sock drawer."

Which would have been funnier also, too.
