It's an interesting place. I have a friend who goes there kind of a lot. He trains people to train airline pilots, using the flight simulators made by the company he works for. He kind of likes it. He says he wouldn't want to live there, and you sure as hell don't want to be on the wrong side of the cops, but it's pleasant and tidy and people seem happy to see foreigners.
I just read about how the political journalists boycotted Boris Johnson's briefing today after selected reporters were barred from attending. Not here, it's just "sucks to be you NPR reporters but we're getting on the plane and following Mike Pompass.."
Every time Mike does something outrageously idiotic I ask myself about what he may have learned and since forgotten from his time at West Point and as a commissioned officer. How can this idiot justify anything he's doing with the training and educational background he has?

Thanks. That was fascinating.
At least Jerry Ford hired some competent staff. Bob Barrett told me no one likes a smart ass and don't do for one that you can't do for all.
"he may not give a rip about press freedom, but he knows how to deny stuff and then blame people!"
It's THE requirement for being a member of the Trump Administration.
Probably took lessons from Sarah Palin. My aunt who taught ESL for 22 years called it just as soon as she hit the national spotlight.
It was the first priority of the dominionists. Get control of the service branches.
... Kazakhstan, one of the many nations Donald Trump can't find on a map ...
Trump couldn't find Borat's home country if you spotted him all 194 other nations on the map.
I cannot believe West Point has not withdrawn his commission and banished him and his memory from the institution.
As a journalist, I'm sure you know the good work the State Department does ...
For a self-proclaimed journalist, he doesn't know much about dangling prepositional phrases.

As for NPR's Michele Kelemen being kicked off the plane for this trip ...
Kelemen's lucky she didn't get kicked off the plane halfway through the flight, pour encourager les autres.
I don't want to imagine that. I have enough nightmares as it is.
Especially if you never even bother to try.
Everything everyone in the Trump administration does is perfect. Perfect perfect perfect. Just a crapload of perfection.
I confess. I went for the nearest shroom, not the relative scale.
