Some 59,000 soldiers deserted the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. I wish the Repubs would start attacking all of them now.

One of the first news stories I remember seeing about Bales was about how he was such a family man and blah blah blah – and oh by the way, he was an atrocious murdering psychopath.

Then the media practically crucified Bergdahl for what he did, which really shows how far we've fallen.

The right wingers have called for his execution, calling him a traitor and worse. I don't recall a similar outrage when life-long Palin family friend Jeremy Morlock was charged and convicted of heinous war crimes. A few years in jail seemed fair to them for three murders and abuse of a corpse.
