Military Papers & Neo-Cons Pile On Rumsfeld

The Donald's at the bottom of a big messy Abu Ghraib-style human rape pyramid today as the Gannett-owned military papers and three infamous White House neoconservatives jumped him 72 hours before the election.
Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times -- the biggest commercially published military papers -- are running a joint editorial calling for Rumsfeld's head on a pike. Bloody details, after the jump.
Seems that Bush's "fantastic job" gibberish last week was the final outrage.
Rumsfeld has lost credibility with the uniformed leadership, with the troops, with Congress and with the public at large. His strategy has failed, and his ability to lead is compromised. And although the blame for our failures in Iraq rests with the secretary, it will be the troops who bear its brunt.
This is not about the midterm elections. Regardless of which party wins Nov. 7, the time has come, Mr. President, to face the hard bruising truth: Donald Rumsfeld must go.
Meanwhile, a publication with a slightly smaller active-duty military readership -- Vanity Fair -- has damning quotes about the Bush Administration's failed wars. Richard Perle, Kenneth Adelman and David Frum have apparently figured out what most sentient beings have known for years: The Iraq Occupation is a horrific failure, and it's their fault. But they actually blame Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc.
